The Devil in You
Eclipsing with in the mist
You hide amongst the shadows
Such misfortune this crime consists
Sending her to the gallows
Red locks caress her head
Bare feet touch the grass
Soon to be dead
Is this beautiful lass
Her eyes like sapphire
Her lips like cherry
A heart of fire
A soul of fury
You feel the tears triumph your strength
As in your hand lies the devastation
You determine the length
Of this jurisdiction
Your heart beats ever so swift
As do your breath
Her body shifts
As she hears the call of death
Her face is drained of rapture
But your vision captures only a single silhouette
She stands, punctuated with fear
Quaking, you raise the threat
But submerging quickly
A conscience beats
The blade so sickly
Falls to the heat
She falls at your feet
Kissing the ground
Your eyes meet
And you kneel down
A smile signifies amnesty
You take her hand
You defy your own treachery
And watch it melt in the sand
A love so powerful
To subjugate a devil
Ardor so wonderful
To exhibit such mercy
She stands by your side
To help you through the times
For your troubles to subside
And evaporate your crimes
