Remebering-
Remembering these people and remembering the days before...
It seems like just yesterday we were all sitting somewhere, driving somewhere. We were all not so thankful for what we had. We just moved in line or in traffic not having a care in the world. Then the news came. Blaring on the radios on the television. A plane crashes into the World Trade Center. We all stopped what we were doing just to look at the televisions in shock and horror. Stopped in our tracks to glue our ears to the radio only to hear that another plane has went barging into the other World Trade Center. We stood by the television hoping and praying that everyone got out alive and safe. We watched as the World Trade Centers collapsed and cried when we heard about all the people that were missing.
We stood and watched as we saw another plane go crashing into the Pentagon and we cried as we thanked the Heros that lost their lives on flight 93.
In the weeks that came we all put our flags out on our pourchs telling the world that all of us were United and that no one would get us down. We watched the television everyday to see people being saved and lives being lost. We listened to our President start a new war on something that we all thought was right.
On this day we remember the lives lost. The Centers that stood so tall in New York. We also should remember the other people that gave their lives at the Pentagon and the Heros on flight 93. We are a country and the people that died gave there lives for someone who wanted revenge. Even if you dont practice politics at least remember those lives that were killed for the wrong reasons.

i like reading anything that has to do with the bombing. i was just in so much shock when it happened, and the eery thing about it, is 7 months before the bombing, i had been put into a hospital cause of my exhusband tried to almost kill me, and i ended up relapsing back in my bi polar state of mind, and while in there for two weeks, i ended up writing a poem about the staff who worked there, and i had this one line in the poem that stated, "some buildings are so big and tall and oh so crowned, and some are tattered, torn, and must be blown down", then to be out of the hospital 2weeks after i wrote that, then slowly getting back into the reality of life, then 7 months later, to hear that a very tall, and very crowned set of buildings had ended up becoming tattered, torn, and then blown right down, is just down right eerie and shocking to my brain. i have been getting creepy premonitions like that since i was 3 years old. but anyways, good job, it is an exact account of what did happen on that day. |

It's always powerful to hear another person's point-of-view on something like this, I had one I wrote about this right after...I wish I knew what I did with it...but regardless...I was actually in school, sitting during gymn because I had had surgery recently and that's all I watched on the TV because I was laid up on the couch...just...some interesting times, put nicely into perspective though :) |
