Oh lonely chemical,

pushed around whichever way the forces may take you.

Oh lonely chemical,

when might you find your match; your complement?

When will the world hand over itself to you,

allowing that your desires shall be fulfilled?

Oh lonely chemical,

hold in there until your day of lonliness fades away.

When the season is right for you

that you may withold that which you long for.

Do not stop your tireless search

for the one which fits you best.

For now you are not stable

but soon you shall be.

This when you find your opposite

the one that will balance you out.

And at this time shall you dance together

the rythm of the world in joy.

Your attraction to the other will be strong

that not even the sun can pull apart.

You will dance forever in love and passion

until the time of the end.

Oh lonely chemical,

do not give up; do not give in.

You are an attraction waiting for the moment

when the variables are just right.

Oh lonely chemical,

you will dance with her tonight.

cmmtx There is a great beauty in relating two entities. I do not understand it. Nevertheless, the beauty persists.

nolenkatie It was kind of amusing to think of chemicals being lonley and having emotions (I know it is metophorical) but that is when writing is brilliant. I like it alot.

cmmtx What can I say other than "Thank you"? Isn't poetry a beautiful entity?

goodgurl8504 That was so amazingly brilliant! You really put that feeling we all have of finding our "soul mates" into words, and poetic form so precisely! Amazing! Very good job!

perdylilpyro I have to admit, this poem was kind-of losing me me until the last three sentences or so. Now, I think it is fantastic. Very creative, and I like how you draw inspiration from varying things that draw your interest and passion and let them flow together
