The Spirit Of You

Not long after you passed
upsetting to construe
Seems we were harassed
by thoughts and images of you.
At first the days were long
harder to get through
The haunting felt so wrong
but realized it was you.
You started leaving us signs
to let us know you care
Conceiving all the kinds
of memories we wont share.
Although we'll always be apart
my emotions are true
Forevermore living in my heart
is the spirit of you.
