A true friend is there forever
to lift you up when you are down
Will listen to you say whatever
and help you lose that frown.

A true friend is straightforward
when you ask for advice
May not be what you wanted
but you know I am right.

A true friend will go the extra mile
this I can say without a doubt
I light up when I see you smile
hope I'm not on my way out.

I know we haven't been friends long
but until this very day
I felt our friendship couldn't go wrong
seems love is in our way.

When you need a helping hand
i'll be there for you night or day
Can pick you up and help you stand
i'm the friend that never strays.
