meant to be

So I had a best friend.

He was one of a kind.

It was like he knew everything about me

And he was always on my mind.

Then he started doing these things

That really drove me crazy.

Like telling me he loved me

And calling me his baby.

I didn’t know if he was serious,

Did he really love me?

I really thought he meant it

But there was no guarantee.

So one day I told him

That I loved him too.

He looked at me and smiled
like he already knew.

I was a little unsure of our relationship
But then he told me he would always love me
And at that moment I knew we would last forever
And I knew that we were really meant to be.
