You wonder why
I grew up this way.
I asked for your love
But you walked away.
You wondered why I blasted my music.
Thought I was trying to be bad.
But, I was really trying to drown out the screaming.
Which always made me sad.
You wondered why
I ran away.
Thought I was running from you.
But, the truth is, I couldn’t live that way.
You wondered why Id always lie
But, little did you know, the lies were true.
He lied, not me…
But, you didn’t believe me, did you?
Well, now I hope you understand.
All I wanted was your love.
Couldn’t give me that one little thing.
That’s all I’m guilty of.
