You Know That Dream?
I wish that I could show the world
the simple thing that I do.
Pure love and joy, no pay or fee.
I wish I could SING under
those lights, the one we both share.
We could be together singing our song
in perfect harmony.
But the song I hear is different from
yours and it is out of tune.
I have to go on my own.
March to my own drum.
Our paths have crossed and will not again.
I have to do a solo, alone on the stage.
But then I think.
You’re there with me. Singing in that perfect
Harmony.
I wish that I could show the world
