A special friend, is the one that is always there for you,
No matter the case, when you are down and blue,
They will be there to lift you up, and cheer you on,
And they will be there to help you stay strong,
A special friend, is the one that you can grow old beside,
They are the one, that doesn’t see just the outside,
But, they see that you are beautiful on the inside,
And when you become old, wrinkled, and gray,
They will still be the one to say,
That to them, you are a special gift life brought their way,
And that they love you even more each and everyday,
A special friend, is the one that can be near or even far,
No matter the case, you are still very near to their heart,
You see, the special friend is that of a very special kind,
For they are a diamond in the ruff, and very hard to find,
So, if you have the precious gift of that special friend,
Remember to hold them dear in your heart until the very end.
