Teach 'em While They're Young |
Sacrifice
A daisy amongst weeds,
For the daisy to flourish,
The weeds must go.
Or else,
The weeda strangle the flower,
Draining the very life out of its thin petals,
Dragging it down to hell.
So, we poison the weeds.
Slowly, but surly, sucking life from its very grasps,
Eatting it alive.
Taking any chance of putrid life from it,
Before it blooms,
Releasing its toxins.
Only the pretty live.

Your parallel writing is amazing, not only in the flora aspect of life, but also in society's grasp, the weeds (The unique, talented if regular looking folks) are plucked and the pretty, however cheap/unoriginal and mundane they may be, survive because they have a pretty face. *Sigh* Amazing once again, girl!~L |
