Our Sand Dollar |
Special Visit
She sits alone
In this room of gray
This emptiness
Won't wash away
She cries out loud
In this hollow hole
The door creaks open
As a story unfolds
A silhouette
So soft and light
Stands affront
Blocking her sight
It reaches out
A hand to grasp
Her fingers spread
It's palm she clasps
It lifts her up
Her spirits rise
She stands so strong
To her own surprise
To know she's there
Standing so tall
With two strong hands
To catch her fall
Soon she glances
Into what she finds
As innocence hidden
Inside brown eyes
So deep they seem
In the shadow's face
But no longer a stranger
As an angel takes place
She cries for his name
Begging to know
And with deep thought it grins
That perhaps he should go
"But I will tell you that
I've given you heavenly touch
So put aside your sadness
For you are loved very much"
And with that final word
He walked out the door
And she sat with a smile
Knowing the pain was no more
