Notice Me!

I wore my prettiest blouse and my best jeans.

I didn't wear tennis shoes this time .

I tamed my mass of frizzy blonde curls so they lay smoothly down my back.

I tied a red ribbon through my hair, hoping it will catch you eye.

My make up was perfect, and I sat there fiddling with my necklace waiting for you to come in the room.

There you are standing right in front of me, you walk to your desk and I hope you'll turn around and say something to me, smile, nod or even look at me.

But you do none of these and you walk away again.

I check my appearance again to make sure everything is perfect and wait for you again.

Your friend comes in and says "You look nice today"

I blush and say thanks.

He noticed me, why can't you?

What do I have to do to grab your attention?

You come back into the room.

I pretend to laugh at my friends comment and I flip my hair,

But still you don't look over.

Why do you hurt me like that?
