Dreaming or Not?

    What is this? this wetness on my cheeks?  one by one they fall, why won't they stop, theres no use for them to be here. I wipe them away but still they fall why don't they stop? why can't i stop them? oh, please, just leave me be, i have enough on my mind as it is, nows not the time to fall apart.

I'm just so tried in more than one way. so please stop with the waterworks! I can't take much more. I wipe them away but they still come, making a wet spot on my paper. I set and watched for a moment but still they come and before i know it my paper is soaked, the words i was writing, molding together as one, I look harder and I see it, or should i say, her. Nanny. Then she smiled at me. I blinked and scrubbed my cheeks dry, when I opened them back-up, there was no soaked paper with molded words, and there was no smiling Nanny.

Jeremy062902 I really enjoyed this poem. Writing is so freeing sometimes... I thought this would just be another poem about the loss of pain, but then you surprised with with the twist of seeing your Nanny in the words. Well done! Thanks for your comments on my own poems btw. =)

blutess I wrote this poem soon after my Nanny died of cancer. the reason why I named it Dreaming or Not? was because when she died, I never cried, i held it all in and so, i figured, maybe if i could write about her, i could let go little pieaces at a time. I just hope that ya'll understand and like it.
