Quiet Solitude

In a comforting quietness,

Blackened walls go for miles,

A sense of prosperity,

A cold dive,

As in a midnight swim,

Wrapping warm confusion,

Around like a blanket,

Head resting in apathy,

As on a pillow,

As in a morbid story,

Death kisses my eyes,

And says goodnight......
