Many guys think they are wise
trying to please me with their lies.
Then one comes along with an earnest heart
and I look for ways to tear his story apart.

I once believed all women were the same
bringing me great heartache and pain,
but now there is one who shines like the sun
and I ask myself, "Is she going to be the one?"

While enjoying his company more each day
and not being able to deter him in any way,
I find myself letting go of the pain from the past,
taking it slow, learning to trust, and hoping it lasts.

Now that I'm with her, my life has grown brighter
and I can't stand the thought of one day without her.
I now look to the future and better days,
so I can know and feel her love in every way.

This is a two-way venture and both are trying
to give their love and keep it from dying.
With the nurturing love and help from God above
we will feel and know the possibilities of eternal love.
