Feeling imprisoned by the people I love,
I want to fly free like a white dove.
Yet why do you say you love me and do not let me be free,
the things I want to do, the things I want to be.
I can't be my true me because of you,
waking up everyday saying, this is not true.
Telling me, I cannot because of lies,
having to tell my dreams bye byes.
All of this is caused by trust,
the trust you don't give me is so unjust.
Why do you think I'm going to do bad things and fail,
what am I going to do, end up in jail?
Why can't you trust me on the things I do,
and if bad things happen, I am surely going to tell you.
No matter how much I ask for trust,
all my pleads and dreams end up in dust,
because of TRUST

this one i like ALOT, trust is the base of everything... and i used to have the problem of no one having faith in me also.. but now, ive proved them wrong. another good poem though. good job |
