My HOLLOW HEART

the pain is forming in my heart
i can't find the words to say
i let him in my heart then he
took it all away

it took me years to rebuild
that wall around my wounded heart
then he came along and showed me love

the pain just eased away.
my gaurd was down
my heart was beating red

vulernable to the world
i don't know how it happened
but i was happy once more

he left me for someone better
ripping my heart out and
scattering it all over the ground

leaving me there to die.
i cried myself to sleep that night
realizing that i would never wake up

from the cruelness left in
my hallow heart
