My Prison - Agoraphobia |
Just Good Friends?
I toss and turn in agony
For "Just good Friends" is all we'll be
No matter how closely our hearts align
Something is missing, you are not mine
I try not to let you in my thoughts
But there I find you, now I'm fraught
As we laugh and banter, the closest of friends
I wish that's where my feelings would end
We share private jokes and intimate feelings
I find myself hoping for deeper meanings
When you think of me, is it in that way?
Or is "just good friends" how we will stay?
I so enjoy our time together
I wish those times would last forever
Yet you call me names like 'sis' and 'mate'
That don't tend to leave me feeling great
I don't want to be 'just one of the lads'
Especially not when dolled up in glad rags
Do you ever look upon me as a woman of beauty?
If I were to divulge this secret, would you ever choose me?
That twinkle in your eye I hope is a sign
That one day my 'friend' you will be mine
"Just good friends", I dread hearing those words
Please tell me our bond won't leave me hurt

Lol. Thankfully not in this predicament right now. However, sooooo been there before, and on the flip side where you just want to be friends with a guy, but can feel him falling for you. It's tricky. |
