singular duality

tired of always doing what i'm told

tired of this world so cold

hurting with thoughts of the past

hurting always seems to last

trying hard to be okay

trying to find words to say

drifting off and losing touch

drifting off to nothing much

losing myself as people go silent

losing people as my thought go violent

anger building that no one should see

anger set, destroying me

sadness out of hiding and out of control

sadness yanking at a gaping hole

people watching as things fall apart

people, see me finish what i start

walking by without any spirit

walking by no one wants to hear it

all these desk lined up in rows

all these people no one knows

           sleepy eyes are drifting closed
