Center Stage

It's my home

One of the only places where I feel right

Where I can be someone who I'm not

And not get in trouble

Where I can hide all my fear and sorrow

And be happy and jubilant

I look up into the bright lights and smile to myself

Only a week ago I was up here performing for an audience

They laughed and cried

We all walked out for our final bow

And that was the end

Now we're starting all over again
