The Teddy Bear

The Teddy Bear

I'm not a very fancy bear...

I'm plain and rather small.

Even so, someone who loves you

Said that I should come and call.

Hide me underneath your pillow

Or sit me on a near by shelf.

And when you feel discouraged,

I will do my best to help.

I brought my favorite blanket

That I snuggle when I'm sad

It is a present from  grandma

Made for when things seem bad

My Grandma always told me

Life is like a patchwork quilt

Just give Jesus all the pieces

and he'll make a pretty quilt

Sometimes I don't see the pattern

Sometimes he seems far away

Then I clutch my favorite blamket

and pray..and pray...and pray....

Though I don't have all the answers

for I am just a burden bear

I have been sent here on a misssion

From someone who really cares

When you see me please remember

you are in my thoughts and prayers

sincerelyichab oooo I love the old-story time type songs and poems...not very many artists really do this type of writing anymore, if you've ever heard of Mark Schultz (if you're into contemporary christian stuff) he's probably the last one I know of. I really like it, I wish I could write more happy stuff, lol
