My Father
sometimes i wonder
who you are -
do you know i am here
are you very far away
or quite often near.
do you look like me
do i have your smile
have you ever seen me
i wonder all the while.
do not be sad
from younger days so wild
sometimes i wonder
could i be his child
your smile, your eyes
i never really know
do you know of me
or did you just let go
all the answers
to the questions we seek
will one day be revealed
for worthy of the meek
for now
i say, look to heavens
enjoy your way
thank you for life
