My Final Fairwell

Views (43) Love Created on 4-14-08 Flag

It was your embrace that let me touch the sky,

Now it's because of you I must learn to say goodbye.

No tears, no sorrow,

only numbness, and a heart that's hollow.

A heart that used to be an unbreakable stone,

now it's shattered, and the pieces are left alone.

The very last kiss stays on my lips,

the very last rose, shrivels up like old, fragile bones.

My mind is stable, my heart is able

to keep me from lingering over you,

and let me return to life, which is what I must do.

Like a flower blooming, a bird singing,

it's part of a cycle I must return to.

I have made my promise, and to this I swear,

this shall be my final farewell.
