Death In Solitude

In solitude he is left

In the cold and dark

To seek survival only by the mark

Of the full moon in the night sky

And hide from the howl and cry

Of those who left him behind

He has no reason to be kind

Remaining remains his prize

But water will only stop at ice

The crimes of nature turned to cruelty and disdain

He hunts alone tonight

The rabid saliva slimes from his cold breath

And the only that creeps behind is death

The creature of immense power and majesty

Reduced to hunger and humiliation

Stimulated by every sensation

Yellow eyes penetrate

Silence permeates

Only the nocturnal stalk

individulsong I've noticed you have a dark air to your poems. I love it! This one was veyr well written. I like how you went in and out of rhyme. It worked very nicely!
