The Games You Play

The cruel games you love to play
With the unknowing soul you've chosen as your prey
The lies you create, the actions you pretend
Fools yet the one who is not the slightest niaeve
Once you've caught them in your trap the trouble begins
The knife you hold swallows their souls
The heart is next, that's an easy one
Switch off the power, so it begins to stop
Tap it with a hammer so it shatters, then slowly begins to break
Your greedy little hands hold all that remains
As you devour each and every last piece
The silent ringing of a bullet completes the kill
Luckily your victims release from your web before it's too late
Making their escape, they're finally free
Physically alive but dead within
They sadly weren't immune to your games
You laugh, you seem proud of what you've done
It's sick how you find the beauty in pure shame
I wonder what diseases plauge that head of yours
Yet I'm glad that I don't know
Your capabilites are beyond my understanding
Yet I'm glad that I don't understand, I'm already ashamed that I know what you do
I fear that you'll one day capture me without my knowing
So I can be the next mortal to suffer through your expriments
I wonder how someone can be so sinister, so thoughtless
I wonder how those plans even cross your mind
Perhaps you're a heartless soul
Did the one you long for reject you, making your heart shatter?
Did your former loved ones pay you with neglect, breaking the heart you used to hold?
Did your heart have a defect when you were born?
Did it fall from inside to you, or was it possibly replaced with something else?
Maybe you weren't even born with a heart at all
If that's the case then no wonder you can even think of these games
My prayers go to the one that suffers through your next game
