Choices

Will those who hurt learn to treat others right,

Or will they always live in a place with no light?

Will we speak against those who harm us,

Or will we stand by and not let out a single fuss?

~

Will those who know they've done wrong confess,

Or will they live their lives in guilty stress?

~

Will we who fall again and again stand once more,

Or will we remain on this cold, hard floor?

~

Will those who only want power see it just consumes,

Or will they ignore it and in the end it be their doom?

~

Will we take someones hand and lead them the right way,

 Or will we walk past them and continue with our day?

~

Will those who only think of themselves no longer live in greed,

Or will they disregard it and simply proceed?

~

Will we open our eyes and see our wrongs and choose the right way,

Or will we continue with our ways and let the idea forever lay?

~

Everyone does wrong,

But deep down it's the right we truly long.

If given a choice, what would you do?
