my wings were torn
when I was born
and someone must've been looking down
because I was made to frown
bred from evil and untruths
to dream of jumping off roofs
and wings repaired
glide into the air
black when I dream of white
wings that would show in the night
my name is nothing, a smear
and all I hold dear is all that I fear
deep inside I know I do not belong
inside I know that everything is wrong
these truths I cradle in me
never to be set free
when I was born
and someone must've been looking down
because I was made to frown
