Forgive Me Father

I woke up today,

Broke, feeling close to the grave,

Hope feels so far away,

I pray for the better days,

25 years of age, stuck in a maze,

That's why I stay full of rage,

Like a lion getting teased in a cage,

I'm trying to be cool, I'm a beast, untamed,

Street smart brain, in a body full of pain,

Ready to quit, I'm just standing in the rain,

And it's pouring now,

Aint no umbrellas anywhere around,

So I fell to my knees on the ground,

Help me lord!

I need some kind of sign,

I know I can see, but I'm still kind of blind,

What's the reason behind why the lost cant find a way,

And why the late need the time of day,

Why the lazy people get the best hourly pay,

And take for granted having food and a place to stay?

I was born and raised to improvise under poverty,

So getting bye wasn't hard for me,

Writing raps' wasn't nothing but a way to relax,

And lace tight tracks, with the facts of life that bother me,

Forgive me father,

We're the last of a dying breed,

Watering the roots of our family tree,

So if I gotta' take a life so my seed can breathe,

Or take a plate so my seed can eat,

That's when the beast will be released,

From deep beneath the steam and flames,

Down where the reaper slepps,

If I can't get it peacefully,

I'll take it peice by peice and be thru with the descency,
