I am sorry that you've lost
your baby girl who you loved so much
no matter what the cost
I am sorry you didn't realize
you were pushing me away
I am sorry I didn't have the courage
to stand up to you and say
I am sorry for my failures
and for the lonely nights I've cried
I am sorry for the discrace I've caused
even though I always tired
I am sorry for the hatred
you dealt with everyday
I am sorry I only listened
never having anything to say
I am sorry I'm not perfect
and was always causing trouble
I am sorry I made your life
such a neverending struggle
I am sorry you weren't ready
when it came time to be a father
I am sorry but I didn't choose
to become your presious daughter
I am sorry I never stood up for myself
and always gave into my fears
I am sorry I always hid the pain
never showing you the tears
I am sorry it's taken me sixteen years
to finally accept the truth
I am sorry but I've come to realize"
