This World Is A Stage
This world is a stage
(A stage for my life),
What unfolds in it
Shall no longer be mine.
No one has seen the scripts,
Except the one who writes
This constant enigma
That I will call my life.
This world is a stage
With ever-changing drapes
That contest the seasons of my life,
And mask the pain that aches.
Each color and each style,
So different from the last,
So swift to change the setting
To represent my past.
This world is a stage
With all that I have sewn
I deserve all I reap
In God’s great world his own.
