Here and There

Frosty winter mornings
and warm summer nights,
contrast in a vague stream
of gold and neon lights.
Cold is my day break,
and longer is my dark
when we are barely dreaming
a million miles apart.
"Here and there" is false,
It doesn't quite describe
how close, yet how so distant
I feel from you tonight.
              Cursing solidarity.
Anticipating you.
This gap we share tonight,
is furthered by the truth.
