Broken
Here I am
Lying next to you
Watching you dream
But don’t believe the truth
You leave at sunrise
Regretting the truth
I’ll always remember
My last night with you
We could stop right here
And go our separate ways,
But how would we know
If its gonna be ok?
We could stop right here
And say we stopped ourselves
From going any further
But still my heart melts
It longs for a bond
Something to hold it tight
For there is a void
From being broken that night
My bones are aching
And my muscles twitch
All this to blame
For the flames in the ditch
My body is broken
Along with my heart
Sometimes retaliation
Is not the right start
