A Poem of Missed Memories

I hate how everything has changed
How people are not the same
My friends are no longer true
And I'm fighting a battle I'm destined to lose.
I hate how my family and I aren't close
But I guess it's the path that we've all chose.
And I hate how much I miss everyone
How I've missed out on what they've become
How everybody isn't who they use to be
I guess I'm living in past memories.
I miss April, Jeremy, Nicole, and Marysa
Lyndsi, Amanda, Larry, and Krista
I wish that Debbie didn't have to go through pain
Of losing a grandson then her daughter after two days
And I wish I could hang out with Wanda more
And of course her brother, Darrell Naylor.
Kevin moved away..and we're not close like before
Thomas ignores me and I don't know what for?
Becky's with Josh...though some don't approve
It's her choice I guess to do what she wants to do.
Joey lives in Georgia, married with three kids
I wonder when's the next time he's coming in
Ashley got married to a guy named Joe
Seems like the last time I seen her was ages ago.
Natasha hardly ever comes around
She's living with some guy named Bill, now.
Chase is growing up fast and he's taller than me
You probably wouldn't believe he's only thirteen
It's been eight years since I've talked to Ricky
I wonder if he even thinks about this side of the family
Keith and Jamie...I don't even know what they look like
I haven't talked to them since I was a little tike
Samantha it's crazy how we use to be best friends
And now out of nowhere you're in my life again
You're dating my cousin Danny Saye
"It's a small world" I guess it's true about what they say
Marysa has a child now, and she's getting big
It seems like just yesterday we were kids
Lyndsi was funny and very artistic
And she always encouraged me to be optimistic
Amanda and I were close until I got pregnant
And Krista became a prep, how unexpectant.
Larry and I became friends...what a surprise
It's hard to believe, now, that we use to fight.
Patrick, Roy, Randy, Possum, and Chipmonk
Collinwood still brings memories of what we done.
Chris, I miss you, and how you use to kick me
It hurt like hell but it was still funny
Shaun, I love the fact that you'll always be here
And hopefully we'll get married in a couple of years
Michael I hate you now for what you've become
I can't believe I fell for someone so dumb.
I hate change and what it brings
I wish that everyone were still the same
But I know that everyone must grow up eventually
I just wish that somehow we were all as close as we use to be.
