I'll See You Again

On October 23, 2007
God lifted me up to the gates of heaven
He held me close with gentle arms
And told me I'd always be in everyone's heart
That morning everybody was so sad
Talking about the last moments we had
How I didn't show any signs of being ill
And how they wished so bad that I was there still.
It hurt mommy the worst when I had to leave
She didn't know how to get through life without me
They questioned God and why He'd do this to her?
She treated me so good..how could He cause so much hurt?
But mommy I need to tell you this right now
I'll see you again so please do not frown.
Don't dwell on the pain but all of our good times
Like the day I was born and you heard my first cry.
And don't think of how things could have been
Just remember that everything happens for a reason.
Please don't be angry or give up your faith
Because I'll be waiting for you here at heaven's golden gate.
And I'll love you just as much now as I did back then
So, mommy, please don't cry..I'll see you again.
