No Colonization for me (For Adults) |
Astral Conclusion
I am endlessly amazed at the human race And yet unfortunately it often is not for what is should be As a whole humankind is tantamount to an enormous social experiment An experiment that all to often shows their darker sides Like a stalker of knowledge I stand in the aft section I listen. I watch and observe. I learn I take a gander at the actions of individuals I like to see what they try to do with their lives Some believe in a “Darwinian” path of evolution Some others believe it the work of unseen divine hands Which ever it is Homo Sapiens have become the dominant animal Equipped with a complex brain, creativity, logic and the ability to rationalize I know this, as do they all Yet often when given a choice between a path of logical peace The ladder of mindless malevolence is opted for As if viewing another’s perspective is too difficult to conceptualize From my line of sight I often witness the squabbles of men Without emotion I listen. I observe. I see the points of validation each party makes I sift through the bitterness and see what is truly on their minds From the safety of my vantage point I proceed to politely interject I converse simultaneously with all disgruntled parties Without emotion I speak. I demonstrate With the logic I show them what’s actually wrong and right with a patient stride The facts are displayed before them All they need do is stand back several paces Remove the crust that’s narrowing their vision of objectivity It is at that point they would see was previously cloaked in their pride Often is the case though that they feel their sight is the correct one That those who see things from an alternative perspective are wrong Even when I’ve attempted to show them the facts they would not heed They’re prone to making judgment calls without sufficient time to properly decide It is agreed that this not the case for them all However these occurrences proceed far too often to be ignored After several millennia they still fight wars based on looks and beliefs And routinely extinguish the life flames of the few who ask their brethren to be kind I admit that they’ve come a long way. Regrettably they’ve a long way to go still Because of this, I recommend that we continue to keep Earth’s people oblivious to our existence. Perhaps after several hundred of their solar revolutions we’ll return and find them at peace But I must insist that until they can fix their internal issues we should not interfere in their lives Douglas S. | There are a few errors, such as the last line of the first stanza where 'to' should be 'too', but all in all I liked it. I didn't expect the end, that was pleasant. |

| I can definitely agree with this... Everbody has a different opinion and everone's opinion is correct... Or so they think... They must evolve if they are to survive as the superior species... |
