An old piece I hadRate this Poem
Worthwhile
Was it really me?
Was the truth the barrier
Or the raft, while I'm out at sea
We all deserve some sunshine
I've suffered me some pouring rain
I've burnt my hands on wax
With candles to find my way back
Your making everything seem worthwhile
Under these marred trees, lets wait awhile
Did I betray you?
When I painted the words red
And hid them, so you could dig into my chest
I sharpened the points
Of my arguements, and sat still
I'm politely waiting for you
With a smile, that left my neck chill
Your making everything seem worthwhile
Under these marred trees, lets wait awhile
I'd say I was sorry
I was sorry (Don't go)
I'm sorry (Don't go)
Is it really me whose giving up?
I'm saying (Don't go)
Sorry (Don't go)
Is it really the question we ask the most?
Your making everything seem worthwhile
Under these marred trees, lets wait awhile
