Such Kind Cruelty |
Missing You
I hurt with the sharp pain of aching love,
My body aches in its dark depression.
Not for the love lost as one might think of,
But for the love I want in discretion.
I oft’ wish I’d not perceived your beauty,
For I have been drunk from desire since then.
Strengthened and weakened by your love, I see,
I’ve lost track of time in my thoughts of sin.
What we had was real in its own season,
My depth of love for you has not wavered.
I guess all things happen for a reason,
For me our time’s always sweetly savored.
I’d rather travel through this world alone,
Than be without the love to me you’ve shown.
