Remember long ago?

Our eyes locked,

Hearts raced.

Phone calls and meeting,

Sneaking around for our love.

Forbidden by others

18 Years later.

Heartbreaks and history, some objections still there,

Marriage, eventually!

They said we would never make it.

Proved them wrong we did!

Up's and downs,

Building love and strength,

Two beautiful children,

Things they also wanted to deny us.

Blue and deep like the ocean,

So much more in those depths,

Little souls reflecting us,

Precious and deep,

Mirroring our love.

You don't know how incredible that is!

I came to you broken.

You made me whole,

Healed my heart.

Made me feel again.

Things I never thought would or could happen.

I try to heal your hurts,

Hold you when I can't.

Stand beside you to hold your hand through the storms.

Always we have won in unity.

Teaching me passion and pleasure,

The way they were meant to be.

My very body sings for you

Your touch, your embrace, those kisses of fire.

Started a fire in my soul,

Never ending,

Rings of forever turning and changing but never breaking.
