Another place and time,a dream?

He wakes in a watery grave,

No top, no bottom.

He fights for that life giving breathe,

Only to realise he need not at all.

He is breathing, how strange.

Sea creatures surround him,

Investigating him like a new speciman in a petri dish.

Gaining new insite from changing roles.

How strange to be the watched instead of the watcher.

Wait, that sound,

He takes a quick hesitant glance, but all is gone.

He is alone or is he?

He swims akwardly down to the sea bed,

Hiding inthe kelp forest.

Why is he so akward in the water.

Curiosity gets the better of him and he screams.

What grows there is neither legs nor tail,

A mixture or is it a partial transition?

What has he become?

Hands and arms changing to scaled masses.

Being pulled up to the surface,

Rescue from this nightmare

yes, yes please pull me out!

Surface , light, no air, put me back please.

No sound emits from his deformed face,

Just smacking lips and wide eyes.

Voices he hears, but no sense do they make.

What is wrong? Why me?

Captain I told you!

Three days in that ocean would change any man!

Supernatural it is, I tell thee.

Throw him back to meet his destiny his days here are done sir!

Air again or is it water?

Curious how it matters not anymore.

His kin is lost , his detsiny changed in a fowl swoop.

What is in this new world?

As he settles in the kelp forest

Grotesque faces push out at him, teeth protruding over swollen lips.

Bodies deformed like his,

Want it or not this is his new kin.

Is it a dream?

Something he will awaken from?

Or is this really it?

His destiny to be what he dispised.

Anything differant!!!
