Ripping off my shrouds

I want to rip assunder this disguise

Shedding my shrouds of humanity

Showing them all what I am

A core of light eternal

Spirit strong and sound

No longer hindered by a distracting vessel.

It keeps me locked in

Trapped by the rules

All trophies and vessels.

Futile and useless

Hiding what we really are

A brilliant soul of unlimited potential

Do you see me now?

Will you ever understand if I show you

I am not my vessel.

I am not hollow if it leaves,

I am not scared of the end

I am totally differant from the trophy they desired.

See the soul that works so hard to maintain a balance

See the soul that sits on the wheel of fortune

Witness to many things ,yet in control of so few.

Realise I gaurd you in your dreaming hours

Never was, never will be.

Remember sometimes you feel a kiss

a hand stroking your cheek

That is me but you don't see me.

Wrote me off as imagination

Grieved for me and yelled my name
