At face value

When people look

Do they really see?

The pain, the scars

The things we hide so well.

If someone is beautiful on the outside and loses some aspect of it

Will you still love them just the same?

Will you see the loss their soul suffers?

They say beauty is only skin deep,

But do you really believe it?

Then why won't you talk to the one everyone says is not beautiful?

Beauty in itself can be a curse,

Attracting elements that prey on them

Those that seek to possess that beauty by controlling it.

What of the beast that hides beneath an innocent veneer?

The one who only emerges when no one is looking?

Killing something valuable that cannot be possesed.

When does a child learn to be cruel?

Exactly where is the turning point?

When does the monster start to form and when does it emerge?

When does that sweet baby become that callous person?

When does a heart turn cold and cease to feel?

How can you reconcile yourself if that is your child?

How can a parent hate their child?

Let alone hurt them?

Can we ever be really good parents without hurting our kids one way or another?

Life is scary

and a trip we make mostly alone

others come and go.

So all we have is today!

Right here , right now

Tomerrow never comes and yesterday we cant change.
