We had a tiny dog
Tipsy was her name.
As small as a yorkie
but a toungue that could reach from April to may.
She slept in my bed
Resting her tiny head on my pillow.
Lying in wait for a glimmer
Any sign of life
She was up and alive
Waiting to show her love
Open one eye
and me oh my
there it was
A lopsided grin.
One side up the other down
Whenever happy
she'd beam at you with Tipsy grins
I miss them when I wake up each morning
Many have followed
but not one has ever had Tipsy grins again
They live in my heart
like every animal before and after
she was and still is precious
be they here or far
living or gone
keep them alive in your heart
