I Thought I'd Forgotten You

I thought I'd forgotten you
and we were just friends
but everyday I'm thinking about you
again and again

I tell people we are friends
and that I've forgotten you once more
but I really do love you
I just wish you loved me too

I know you like someone
someone who I hate
but why do you have to like someone
who doesn't treat you the right way?

I thought you didn't like her anymore
everyone told me you didn't
you even said so in a survey
but I guess you changed your mind

I guess you will never like me
I know we already tried
I kinda wish we hadn't
then we wouldn't yet know what it's like

Atleast we are good friends
I wouldn't want to lose you
if I came across as the wierdo
who said she loved you

I'll never tell you that
I'd be too scared to
especially after we tried to go out
even if it did only last a few days

Maybe one day if i'm lucky
you'll tell me that you like me
but I doubt that'll happen
for now, I think we are good being friends

I know it's hard to forget you
and everytime I do you just come back
but I think i'll get through it one day
and hopefully find someone else

	I felt like this for like 5 mo. about my baby's daddy after we broke up but I got over it. It'll just take time and it sucks but everything happens for a reason and I understand how you feel. Don't lose hope! Great poem...exactly how I felt I just could't put it into words ^_^
