Guardian Angel

If I had a guardian angel

Would I still cut up my wrists?

They say our angels are always watching

I'm ashamed mine has to see me like this.

I wish I didn't feel this

But I'm to scared to make it end

Would I really be happier

If I had a heart to mend?

If I had a guardian angel

I know I would be brave

And I would not fear rejection

Or even fear the grave.

Its so hard to go on

When I'm feeling like this

And I wish there was a better way

Than death's sweet, icy kiss.

If I had a guardian angel

I would be able to speak my mind

If I had a guardian angel

I wouldn't be in this bind.

So I must not have an angel

Because if I did I wouldn't cry

But if do I have an angel

I wish he would at least try.
