Dark wings lift,
to reveal the light.
There is a mist,
that trails the span of my plight.
Sadness consumes me,
it will not let me be.
Like a cold star,
I know I have strayed too far.
Though there is light,
it is far and distant.
And try as I might,
I feel only dispirited.
There is too much despair,
and agony here.
Here where I linger so bold,
in darkness and in cold.
