i will always remember how it felt

                   Looking down the path that was once there

                   I tried so hard not to stare

                   But not thinking about it made me think about it more

                   The  memories all flooding back from before

                   Even though the scars from yesterday remain

                   The wounds from tomorrow will bring new pain

                   Even though I was so happy when you smiled

                   I tried not to think of the pain you brought me

                   I'm waiting patiently for the spring

                   knowing theres more to come than just today

                   But i can still go on living if I just believe

                   Even if I die surrounded by snow that never melts

                   I will always remember how it felt
