The Last Poem

Thought if I waited for you
You’d comeback to my arms
But I was just seeing my life pass me by
Day by day slowly deteriorating inside
Wasting my every breath over time
Writing you letters & shedding tears
I was blinded by what I thought was love
And didn’t see what was
Right in front of me all along
Now that I’ve managed to move on
And that my life is back on track
You return and expect me to take you back
I’ve shed enough tears
I’m done waiting for you
I have nothing else to give
I lost time and you had your chance
You won't hear from me again
