I keep looking at the stars
Breathing in the air in this cold night
It was unexpected, It wasn’t fair
I shed tears & feel pain
And I don’t know why
I keep feeling this emptiness inside
And can’t seem to find
The right time, place, or person
To fill it up
I walk the streets and find myself lost
In thoughts and emotions
Impossible to define
Strolling down memory lane
Looking at the ruins of
Things that won’t happen ever again
Reflecting on the past
And attempting to build a better future
Tired of being something
No one will remember
My biggest fear of being
Left behind in oblivion
