I know it’s impossible for this to be
You pretend to be something your not
And I’m here acting like
You don’t mean anything to me
I hold your hand and you smile at me
You think it’s a game but I’m living my dream
I can only imagine my happy ending
I can only live in this fantasy for so long
Before it gets old and I find something more
I don’t think you’ll ever know
I don’t think you’ll ever see it
I don’t think you’ll ever feel this way
Keeping this secret may be
My only way to make my dream
As real as it may ever be
Until the day you see this
And you know how I feel
I’ll keep on dreaming awake
And keep on living my dream
