Having to let go
Of something you've loved
For so long in the hardest thing
Anyone has to do
Seeing you whiter away
Like a fading memory
Was like watching my life
Fall apart right before my eyes
Although I couldn't do anything
To stop this from happening
I can't help, but to feel guilty
For not holding you 'till you
Took your last breath
Please forgive me
For not being able to say
"I love you" one last time
Please forgive that the last time
I spoke to you we ended up
saying "I hate you"
Forgive me for leaving you alone
On this stormy night
For not saying a final goodbye...
Of something you've loved
For so long in the hardest thing
